this is a pencil drawing done in 10 mins
As you can see I am continuing the self portrait drawings going although I admit I did miss Thursday and Friday so all these drawing were done over the weekend.
I am noticing a curious thing. In the quicker drawings, I look more like my Mum and in the the longer drawings, I am looking more like my Dad. The only drawing I am remotely happy with is the last one, where I am looking down into the mirror. Somehow, the proportions seem almost right in that drawing. In the longer drawings my face is way too long and narrow and in the quicker drawing, the left(your right) side of my face, doesn't even exist.
Apart from spending some time drawing, I spend a lot of time, browsing the internet and beading my doll. It is almost finished now, so pics will be posted later this week.
One thing that did piss me off this weekend was my Husband's cold or allergies. I know I should be the good wife and sympathise with the man but not when it keeps me awake and I had too much to drink on Saturday night. Gordon always has problems with nasal congestion at the best of times but refuses to believe he has allergies. Add a cold and half the night he is drowning! Unfortunately, for me, Gordon is a good sleeper and isn't aware that he is drowning. I am a light sleep, so unless I have something that induces sleep (like alcohol), I am lying there listening with trepidation to this. Unfortunately, by 6am the effects of the wine had dissipated and when Gordon got up to clear his throat, that was end of my sleep but I was tire and ratty. Gordon promptly went back to sleep whilst I tossed and turned until 7.30 when I couldn't take anymore! So I got up rapidly and throwing my sleep mask on the bed but I must have been a more rough than I intended (or maybe just as I intended). Gordon woke up, confused, 'what's wrong?' 'I'm getting up, I can't sleep with you drowning next to me!' Anyway that resulted in Gordon getting up and me sliding back to bed but feeling really guilty. In the end I got up 30 mins later because I couldn't sleep with my guilt, kicking a sick man out of bed!
