I should be

doing my resume but I am avoiding it the best way I can by researching dolls online and ordering books!

I did make a start on my resume today as I know I cannot avoid trying to get a job for much longer. Alan makes his application to University in the next month and then this time next year Emily will be applying to the University of North Texas. We will have brief respite where we wont be paying 2 lots of fees as Elisabeth should graduate from Texas State next December. 2 lots of fees plus board and lodging --- a mind boggling $34,000 a year until probably 2010.... slightly less than our mortgage. Just as well they are going to state school although Alan has suggested going out of State to Colorado in Fort Collins. We have told him, you do that, you can find the balance!

Note the lack of dates, this is because apart from 5 months at Sky, I haven't actually worked in 19 yrs (almost to the day), so this quite a daunting challenge for me. Wish I could be self discipline enough to do some thing at home but I can always find ways of distracting myself from the task at hand. Example now!

Obviously, this needs some revision and tightening up but at least I have made the start. I am planning to go to an employment agency as my other problem is that I really only need a temporary position at the moment. In May, my Mum is planning to visit for a couple of weeks so she will need a taxi driver (absolutely no public transport in Pflugerville) and then at the end of June we are going to Scotland and France for 3 weeks. Somehow I don't think I will get a job that will allow me 5 weeks off, even in the UK, that would be a lot. In the US, the land of no real holiday allowance, it would be impossible.
