Ist day back at school horaay!

View from our room at the Big Bend in the Chisos Mountains

Well since I last wrote, my youngest daughter attended another photography class, my eldest is in the UK, my son almost killed his sister's s10 by mudding and we went to the Big Bend via Del Rio.

Today is the first day of school, hip hip huray! and not so hip hip, as that means I will have to get off my butt and find a job. I spend all of an half an hour on the internet today, looking and feeling utter dispare at the thought of going to work. I haven't work barr 3 months in the last 19 yrs and even then I didn't enjoy working. I always managed to upset people somehow. I am looking into training but given that the reason I am going out to work is to help with the influx of college fees from next yr, spending 12,000 to retrain seems contrary to the purpose!

The thing that is really ticking me off is that I did an art therapy course in the mid 90's which was diploma then but a masters now (despite being the same course). Unfortunately, I started the course just as it started and it was run by a fly by night character if you ask me. Anyway the long and short of it, the course just after I completed it was moved to a different location. However, it appears our records weren't as they appear to be completely lost! For it to count as qualification over here, I need to get a transcript of the course which would then be americanised. So basically I have 2 yrs of hard work, thesis, theory and practise, completely wasted as far as America is concerned

Anyway enough of that. I am going to try an upload a couple pics of our trip to the Big Bend. Apart from the beauty of the area, the highlight of our trip was going over the Mexican Border at Del Rio and returning using our greencards for the first time.
