as I had an interview yesterday and although I wasn't actually rejected, I also didn't get the job.
Apparently I was considered a call back - in the event of a suitable position becoming available they will call me back, so there is hope.
Not really sure what to make of that to be honest. It was a level entry job as an psychiatric nursing assistant at the State Hospital in Austin. I admit it isn't the ideal job as I have years of experience in this field but with no recognisable certificates, on my application forms I'm not going to be hired as therapist or a nurse. So it was good jumping off position as with working experience here, I might be able to get my Art therapy qualification recognised without the transcript.
On the subject of the transcript if anyone can find the transcripts of the first few years of the Art therapy school in Edinburgh, please let the current college know. I have been trying on and off for the last 6 yrs to get information for my transcripts but with no joy. Apparently, on the merge with Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, all records of the first few years were lost. That's OK, if you don't move to another country but if you do, you need a transcript of what you studied. No records, No transcript, so effectively I have lost 2 yrs of education down the drain!
All I want to do at the moment is eat Chocolate but fortunately, the car is in the garage get a gazillions things done to it which means no shopping today.

Another dream (disturbing so don't read if faintly sensitive)
but this one I was in 2 minds about putting up as it very freaky and disturbing to be honest. Have no idea what it means and it seems to have several threads. I went through a series of such unsettling dreams when I was studying art therapy and they definitively seems to be tied up with me being more creative. Most of the details are hazy but the discomfiting bits seem to remain with me so talking about it might help, who know.
This is what I wrote down in my notebook.
Dream last night was weird, very weird!. Only vague recollection but it was very disturbing. When I was on the art therapy course I had a lot of dreams about feces. Last night wasn't quite that but it involved my lower intestine. I was on the toilet and my intestine was being squeezed out and it was raw, like ripped flesh. The even weirder part was that I was watching it on a screen, as if it was the internal pipes of a sewer system. As I stand up I see a fish in the bottom of the bowl but before I can catch it, its flushed away. I am in another person's house. This is a continuation of a dream (the above event).
Other vague details which occur before going to the house. Two men- I am interested in both, they are not my husband. One is the black guy from Jericho (TV show on CBS), at least he looks vaguely similar to him. I agreed to meet both of them, one to see an exhibit a long long way from home and the other (the black guy) to help me with my work (art work).
During the dream I am talking to my mother-outside is a beach. Her disabled brother is in the sea and becomes sick. We rush to help him - I stand back but my mother is holding her brother and trying to find out what is wrong. He has ticks in his neck which have poisoned him
but the black guy saves him by removing them. Everyone is scare they have been infected but the guy reassures everyone that as long as they haven't been too close to him, they will be OK. The black guy is married with kids. I am sexually interested in both men and I am pleased they are interested in me. I tell my husband about the men. He seems unconcerned.
