Would you adam and eve it!

my sewing machine conked out on me yesterday. I had been merrily zig-zag away edging a whole lot of counted and even weave cotton for future dates when the machine went zeee zeee zeee splat! I think something happened when I wound a bobbin and then when back to sewing. The machine has a clutch action to do this and as I press on the foot control I heard a noise like a missed cog (clunk). Hopefully I can fit it as I was really getting into this sewing lark.
