Yeah! something to look forward to.

We are booked! To go San Francisco for 3 days next week.

So now I am busy looking at info on the place and what we can do in 3 days - way too much really! I want to go the San Francisco Museum of Art, of course and Gordon wants to do the Alcatraz Island, so would be one day at least. Both of us would like to do a wine tour but given we are only there for 3 days, maybe next time. Need to see the Golden Gate Bridge, walk around China town and ride a cable car. Then there is the Asian art centre, the de Young Museum and the museum of craft and folk art. Those are the places I want to see but I doubt Gordon wants to see most of the those as they are art related, so need to find some things which we will both enjoy. I suspect we will be knackered by the time we get back but it should be a blast!

This morning before I sat down to search up San Francisco I decided to do a search on the floods in England as we have a few friends in that area. On one page I came across a link to a blogger in Greece where the temperatures have been extremely high, up to 45c (113f). On the page where she describes where she lives she posted this picture

Isn't it brilliant! It just made me want to pack my bags and just go there to paint. The US is so dull in comparison, even at the border. If you go the big Bend area you can see the little Mexico villages on the Rio Grande and they look so darn interesting. Must admit that is probably the only thing that you could recommend about them, as they are dirt poor and they look like that. I am afraid I am way too much of a softy to feel romantic about living in poverty.
