its Friday already and at last the rain has gone away. I would never have believed that I didn't want to see rain but it just wrong here in Texas, in July! Normally we are complaining it too hot at this time of year but the temperature has been great apart from the humidity.
I read quite a few blogs that are based in the UK and it seems strange to me (now after 7 yrs here) that the kids are just breaking up for the summer holidays. Then I counted the weeks until Emily and Alan are back in college, realising its not long before they move to their respective towns where they go to college ( 6 wks exactly). I will be sad to see them go but looking forward to rearranging the rooms upstairs. I tidy up last week and today when I looked, it seemed like I had never touched it.
This has been an expensive week as well, as we had to pay for Gordon's credit card (which had Emily car was on), our tax bill for 2007, fees for the remaining classes for Elisabeth's degree and Elisabeth's car ( she is paying us back). Today, I put in Emily car for a check as it makes a squealing noise as she drives away which get worse the wetter it is. Hopefully it won't be too expensive. Yesterday I had to pay $120 for a pair of shoes for Emily as the Doctor said she has tendonitis and needed some stiff soled shoes so her feet don't bend. She took the news surprising well as she is most definitely a shoe person, so the pain in her foot must be really bad. Actually with jeans or trousers, they look ok but they are most definitely not a dress shoe.
Anyway nothing planned for the weekend as normal. No doubt I will be doing some beading as I need to finish the June page for the Bead Journal. Today I finished my Elisabeth beaded doll and posted it on my other blog. Over the weekend I will also sit down with Gordon and plan our road trip we plan to take in August. At the moment, our goal is the Grand Canyon but we like to research a bit so we can take as interesting a journey as possible.
