Things are getting back to normal

now the temps are rising. Gordon got to work yesterday, a bit later than usual and apparently, the roads were quite good. Emily started school today which was delayed by 2 hours. So its a very quite the house for the first time since before Christmas as Alan returned to San Antonio on Saturday before the big freeze.

Which means I should be whizzing around the house, getting it all back in order. However, for the past few weeks I have just been so tired and I really don't know why. Its not as if I find sleeping in general that easy (I have take a pill to sleep a long amount of time). Anyway, I figure it must be something to do with exactly that, the sleeping aid, so for the next couple of weeks I will do without it. So, going my experience before I took the sleeping pills, expect me to be blogging at 2am, in the morning unable to sleep but at least I can try.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, I watched American idol. Thank goodness for DVR, a 2 hour programme suddenly only lasts for 1 hr 20min. Getting in quite a habit of recording our favourite programmes to skip the ads. Anyway, I don't think I will be watching next week as it was quite obvious that the directors, producers or whoever weeds out the crowd, are looking for people with mental disorders. Last night there was one guy who quite obviously has some form of austism, probably aspbergers. Then there were 2 guys who seemed to be of special needs, one of who all the judges made disparaging remarks Simon was open, at least, with his comments (which crossed the line) but the other 2 waited until the guy had left the room, although how he didn't hear them laughing out loud whilst he was there, I really don't know.

I am all letting people know they are useless if they are fully functioning adults but putting up people who so patently have sometime wrong with them, just makes it a freak show of old. To be honest, although the judges were wrong in their actions and remarks, the producers were the ones most in the wrong as they chose those people to be mocked not just by the judges in a small room but to whole viewing audience.
