Step the weight away

At the weekend I purchased yet another pedometer

....maybe the steps will magically appear and I will be fitter or it will be yet another gadget in my arsenal of devices which will gather dust.

Apparently if you consistently clock 10,000 or more steps per day you will have a lower percentages of body fat, body mass indice and waist to hip circumferences. No kidding if you actually walk rather than sit on your arse all day, you will be fitter (and there by happier) :D

Me thinks I have a way to go. Yesterday I managed 3560 steps from about 2pm to bedtime and that was above average day for me as I actually volunteer to walk with Gordon last night. Prior to our walk, he had biked on the council provided trail path, with our youngest daughter around Pflugerville which is about a 3-4 mile round trip. Today I have managed to clock an impressive 481 steps since I woke up this morning. This should make me get up and walk. But I am a perverse kind of individual and my excuse for not walking yet, is to see how little I actually do in a day. :P

What I see from my PC.
