My PC is playing up

so this might be my last post for a few days. I did a McAfee virus scan but it didn't pick up anything so I have downloaded sbc/yahoo virus scan and see if that picks it up. From what is happening it would appear that we have been invaded by worm but for some reason the virus scan isn't picking it up. At the moment, we have to reload the PC several time to start and once its started the "E" drive (CD-rom) is missing. Of course with the "e" drive missing we can't actually format the disk. We have tried connecting our old laptop to the PC but appears the USB connection isn't working. If this new virus scan doesn't pick anything then I will try to use the disk error programme and if all else fails then I will have to take it to the PC doctor.

Talking of doctors, I had to take my son to our doctor yesterday and whilst I was there, I rearranged my appointment to see him on 1st March to 16th Feb which is tomorrow. I was going to hang on, (my reluctance to go out of the house kicking in) as it obvious this new superdooper sleeping inducing pill isn't working. In fact not only doesn't it work but I feel like a zombie for most of the day after. Whilst I am there, I will mention my ever increasing disinclination to go out. He will probably prescribe some pills but really the root of my problem is my lack of social contact with the general population and the only person who can solve that one, is myself.

Still hope is in the air, I am going to a volunteer orientation at the Blanton museum next week. There is a follow-up meeting on the March 9th and the grand opening of the new museum is in April, so hopefully that will lead on to some positive steps. I must admit I am doing this, in way, to get into a job, I figure if I am there and there is a job opening, I might stand a chance. What is depressing me at the moment is the thought I will end up being a cashier at the local HEB saying have a good day, packing someone's bag as they stand idly by and asking if they wanted stamps, ice or salt today. I have nothing against cashiers but I don't particularly want to be one.

To be honest, I would probably be sacked on the first day because the first customer who is capable of packing their own bags but stands idly by, would get " what did your last servant die of" or something to that effect. It's one of the things that pisses me off about supermarkets over here, I hate being in line, watching as the customer stands and stares as the cashier packs his/her bag (it's surprisingly common). Fair enough if there is a bag packer around, great stand there but if no-one is available, pack your own bags....please.. your will need to pack into the car yourself and remove from the car yourself, so why not pack it!!!!
