the christmas post but after writing the newsletter and stuffing most of the cards, I am having a break. Once I have done the cards, I need to wrap the gifts for Australia, gifts to parents (mine and Gordon's dad) and brave the post office. I suspect I will be doing it tomorrow before I go to weight watchers as I can't see me completing it all before 5pm today. I know I should have posted the parcels a couple of weeks ago and I always have that intention but it never quite works out like that. I wouldn't mind but I bought most of the Australian stuff months ago! Still it usually get there on time. My Dad being a former postman, told me that in the UK at least, it the aim of all the sorting offices to get all parcels out the last day before the 24th. I am presuming the same goes for other countries.
Well, after my little rant about crafts things that aren't, I went to a really good craft show at the the grounds of Laguna Gloria, home of the Austin School of Art. There was some wonderful craft items there and some pretty awful stuff but at least it was made by person selling it. This weekend we are going to a craft fair at the local Co-op, Wheatsville. I had already thought of going but at the fair last weekend, we met up with a co-worker of Gordon's who is going to show some of her jewellery at the Wheatsville show. She was wearing some of her jewellery, it was wonderful and I suspect soon will be giving up her job in the semi conductor industy. I would definitely buy it but I suspect it might be out of my price range at the moment
Anyhow better get on with this christmas posting melarkey. Then I will have to decide if I will actually make something for my 2 sisters in the UK or actually buy them something. Once I have got that done, then I can think about the kids and their gifts.
