Well, its Wednesday morning again and a chance for a lie in today, as its a school holiday. Once I have finish this I will get started witht the Christmas cards and wrapping the gifts for the Aussie Relatives.

It use to be that November 5th was the day I would start thinking about Christmas, especially the overseas part. Nov 5th in the UK is Bonfire night, which to mine mind began the countdown to Christmas, as it was generally cold, damp and dark by that time, all the right ingredients for Christmas. I know its hard to believe but I use to love walking down the high street at 4pm and it was dark, all the lights would be on. Come late November the christmas lights would be up and on. In London (where I come from) the smell of roasting chestnuts would fly through the air and to me, that signified warmth. We have actually been quite lucky here in the 4 Christmas's we have had here, as Christmas Day has generally been on the cold side but leading up to Christmas, its been like a scottish summer, most of the time. Sorry, but that doesn't make me christmassy. Still I am beginning to get over that (about time!) and now Thanksgiving is my signal, a bit late but in time.

Tomorrow the weather is meant to be in the high 70F's (mid 20C's), so I have decided to do a BBQ but not with Turkey as is the tradition (I think). Actually I think they actually dunk a turkey into big pot of boiling oil but that seems a might bit dangerous to me. Then at the weekend they are actually forecasting RAIN! So I might get to finish the ironing (put the flags out!)

Anyway better get on doing those things that need a doing.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
